The new compact SUV by DS Automobiles, DS 7 CROSSBACK, has earned 5 stars in the EURONCAP tests. These results bode well for this sleek, high-tech SUV, integrated a number of technological innovation, with some even making their debut in the compact SUV segment.
In addition to more conventional safety equipment (more than 10 standard safety features in the entry-level version, including an emergency collision braking system), the DS 7 CROSSBACK has integrated DS ACTIVE LED VISION, DS NIGHT VISION, DS DRIVER ATTENTION MONITORING, Active Blind Spot Detection, Active Lane Departure Warning and Extended Traffic Sign Recognition. Best of all, this first model of the second DS generation is blazing the trail to automated driving with DS CONNECTED PILOT.
“Our engineers and technicians have packed the DS 7 CROSSBACK with their cutting-edge expertise to ensure safety at all times, giving drivers peace of mind,” says DS Product and Development Director Eric Apode. “Our primary objective always has been, and always will be, safety: that of the vehicle’s occupants and that of the surrounding environment. Our new driver-assist systems, like DS CONNECTED PILOT or DS NIGHT VISION, mark a turning point along this path.”
The guiding principles for the design and development of the DS 7 CROSSBACK were safety and peace of mind. This means that the new DS SUV has the best such systems available on the market and introduces equipment innovations never before seen in the segment.
